Fisher & Paykel is a New Zealand based company with manufacturing globally.
Let's start off by saying as you walk up to this induction range your met with a certain wow factor as its design is very European and stunning. Its stainless body and contemporary features make this range very attractive.

Looking at the front you will see the high grade stainless weighted knobs for the induction top by locating these knobs on the front of the bull nose makes it a different design and actually in my opinion very nice compared to others that have touch controls usually on the top of the induction surface.

Fluid control knob settings from 1-9 make the control of the induction surface very easy. Too the left of the front control knobs we see the oven controls with a digital readout, now I'm not as happy with the smaller buttons that we have here for oven functions do to the fact they are not simple as fisher & Paykel have tried to make it or labeled like i feel they should be, but once you read the manual you can figure out the settings.

Oven Cooking Modes

Bake
Fan Bake
Convection Bake
Broil
Convection Broil
Defrost
Warm
Pyrolytic Self Clean

The oven is smaller than i would like Total oven capacity 3.6 cu ft yet large or the Asian market and small for the north American market when you see other ranges up to 6.2uft. Personally I know Fisher & Paykel had to sacrifice oven size for the oven knob design and other features and again i have to agree for most items cooked in the oven i personally feel its fine yet some folks will find this a drawback. Fisher & Paykel have incorporated a nice multi pass broil element for upper broil coverage and also have a multi pass design bake element. The interior oven racks are all glide racks making this i feel very nice and also the side rack mounts are removable for easy cleaning of the oven. lets not forget about the true convection feature as well as Fisher & Paykel have done a nice job of the convection design.

Cleaning

High acid resistant graphite enamel interior
Oven light 2 rear
Pyrolytic self-clean cycle
Removable oven door
Removable shelf runners

The cooking top surface is very elegant and reflects the over all feel of the Fisher & Paykel range.  The Ceramic glass cooktop will be easy to keep clean as with most induction products does not get direct heat. Fisher & Paykel have chosen a high grade Ceramic glass cooktop for this build.

1 zone at 1400W
2 zones at 1850W
1 zone at 2300W
4 Zone Induction Cooktop
Auto heat reduce
Ceramic glass cooktop
GentleHeat
Hot surface indicator lights
Induction cooking technology
Nine heat settings
Power indicator light
PowerBoost at 3700W

Moving down the front of the fisher & Paykel range you notice the oven door that is fully integrated with the range body making it very sleek and concealed when in place in your kitchen and when cooking you will not have any heat residue flow over to your cabinets I like this feature. The oven door is a Cool touch triple glazed door making this very nice. Add a nice glide out ball bearing style warming drawer. This warming drawer is a nice size, yet they possibly could have made it a bit smaller and made the oven larger but hey you can't please everybody right?

Pro's:

Strong European design

Induction cooking
Knob style control
Premium cooking features.
Service history to date is very good for this young product.

Con's:

Still looking!

Comparison:

I find based on its price that it's in the mass premium to ultra-premium class of appliance products and rightfully so its very nice in its build and loaded with features you would expect. With that said it's priced much less than the new Miele induction range and is currently in a segment with not that many other induction ranges as this is a fairly new segment. many other manufactures are rolling out new induction ranges this and last year yet I have found that the Fisher & Paykel will have no problem holding its ground in this segment.

Verdict:

Fisher & Paykel made a nice Induction Range, I currently feel positive about it and will like to see more data as it rolls out. I would not hesitate to make this a new addition in my personal kitchen. good job Fisher & Paykel.

I would love your comments on the Induction Range Fisher & Paykel OR30SDPWIX1 product so please post below.
