Kitchen Appliances "What's Your Favorite Color."

Like many trends, stainless steel appliances started on the high end, with the likes of Viking and Wolf, and trickled down to the masses. Some years ago outfitting your kitchen with stainless steel appliances was like saying I have arrived. At this point, stainless steel has become so ubiquitous and bastardized that it can appear cheap. It hasn't been by the cheapest appliances that claim to be stainless steel but are not.

Trends come and go Stainless appliance sales don't look like they are slowing and yet consumers are looking for options. Cleaning stainless is a strain on a lot of us. So manufacturers are developing options such as Frigidaire's Smudge proof appliance line and GE with its new slate line of machines but whatever happened to the timeless white or black kitchen appliances?

The question seems to be "I don't mind white" but manufacturers don't look to offer much selection and don't seem as nice as some of the stainless choices. New for 2015 KitchenAid takes the White Ice and Black Ice theme and is making it a feature.

KitchenAid has launched White and Black appliances with all Stainless and chrome hardware with stainless knobs and red accents, and I think they did an excellent job. I believe that this is a great mix of colors, and I would switch to this new look.

"White and Black Ice Appliances are an excellent option for conscious color consumers wanting a great new look in the kitchen."

I'm ready for a new appliance trend but when I try to envision what that would be I come up blank. What are your thoughts? Are you prepared to go back to black? Are you wild for white? Or are prepared for a new, more colorful (or even more creative) trend altogether?

As we'll, KitchenAid seems to be testing the waters this year with a new beautiful color in Black Stainless. It's stainless with infused black and looks gorgeous and sounds like it's better to keep clean. With all these changes I think KitchenAid's new appliance line is focusing in the right direction.
